University Residences
University Residences (UR) is more than just home for Boilermakers, it is "the" place to live! UR provides an environment that will make your student feel right at home and at the same time, right in the middle of campus life.

Campus Dining Options
Eating on campus is easy with any Purdue Dining & Culinary 21, 13, or 8 Track Meal Plans. We have five dining courts, four On-the-GO! locations, and three Quick Bite locations. In addition, Aramark (Purdue Food Co.) offers over 30 retail locations and a Chick-Fil-A.
Visit the meal plans webpage to view available plan options.
There are 3 components to a meal plan:
1) Meal Allowance = Meal swipe
This is the number of meal swipes that your student can use each week based on the Track Plan 21, 13, or 8 in any Purdue Dining & Culinary locations:
-
-
Five dining courts: Hillenbrand dining court, Earhart dining court, Windsor dining court, Wiley dining court, and Ford dining court,
-
Four On-the-GO! locations: Earhart On-the-GO!, Windsor On-the-GO!, Ford On-the-GO!, and Lawson On-the-GO!,
-
and three Quick Bite locations: 1 Bowl @Meredith, Sushi Boss, and Pete's Za at Tarkington Hall.
2) Meal Exchange = Retail Meal Deal
This feature allows your student to exchange one meal swipe for a combo meal at Chick-Fil-A and select Aramark retail locations. Retail meal deals may only be used once per meal period and are deducted from your student's total weekly meal swipes.
3) Dining Dollars
Dining Dollars work like a debit card - each time your student makes a purchase, the total cost is subtracted from the balance in the account. This feature is accepted at all five dining courts, Lawson On-the-GO!, Chick-Fil-A, and select Aramark locations.
Dining Dollars for all meal plans are distributed by semester, half in the fall and half in the spring. Unused Dining Dollars will carry over from fall to spring semester and will expire when the meal contract ends after finals week in May.
Off-Campus Student Services
Unlike some universities, incoming students are not required to live on campus during their first year. If your student will be living off-campus, they should be aware of and utilize the Off-Campus Student Services website. There, students can check out their searchable database of apartment listings, leasing information, and resources for living in the community.
As a student renter, your student should be aware of the free lease review provided by Student Legal Services. By filling out an intake form on the SLS website, students can receive free, confidential legal advice on a number of topics, including landlord/tenant laws in Indiana. |
