Exploring the Impact and the Use of Generative Models in Computer Engineering Education
Project Overview
This project aims to investigate the implications of Generative Models (GMs) for computer engineering education by investigating if tools, such as ChatGPT, enable students to acquire higher-order and critical thinking skills, without compromising lower-order skills such as knowledge of syntax. Through ECE 264 and ECE 368, two foundational courses, the team will measure both how well a GM performs compared to the average Purdue ECE student and if students perform better when using a GM.
