Staff, faculty invited to on-campus presentations by finalists for Career Success senior director role

Three finalists for the position of senior director, Career Success, will be on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus for interviews and public presentations during the week of June 10.

Finalists and their presentation dates are as follows:

John Rindy
10:30-11:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, RAWL 1011

Rindy is the assistant vice president of career and academic progress and the director of career education at Slippery Rock University. Rindy leads multiple teams with operational oversight, focusing on academic advising, career services and research-based persistence efforts. His leadership has led to significant growth in office utilization, career programming and post-graduation employment rates, positioning Slippery Rock University as a leader in student success initiatives.

Stephen Roach
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, RAWL 1011

Roach, currently serving as interim director of Career Success, is a dynamic leader driving career success at Purdue University, excelling in strategic partnerships and program expansion. Before stepping into the interim role, Roach served as director of Strategic Initiatives, Operations and Data Analytics for Career Success. Highlights of Roach’s contributions include expanding federal work-study opportunities and boosting recruiting events, as well as fostering impactful corporate partnerships.

Mary Andrade
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, RAWL 1011

Andrade is director of engineering career services at the University of Louisville. In her current role, Andrade spearheads strategic co-op program development, integrating internship tracks and global options. Her initiatives, from streamlining CSM systems university-wide to fostering entrepreneurial interactions in Louisville’s startup community, showcase her commitment to data-driven strategy and process optimization. Andrade’s dedication to transparency and impactful collaboration underscores her mission to enhance student and employer experiences.

Finalists will make a public 30-minute vision presentation and then take audience questions.

The search committee is chaired by Jennifer Dobbs-Oates, associate vice provost for World Readiness, part of the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning. Purdue’s next senior director of Career Success will succeed Tim Luzader, who retired from Purdue earlier this year.
