Description: A study of the principles and practice of problem solving using MATLAB. Topics include MATLAB basics, functions and variables, file input and output, user-defined functions and program design, complex data manipulation, graphical user interface, and technical problem solving applications, etc. The students shall gain hands-on experience through several programming assignments, and practice strategies for collaborative problem solving such as creating specifications, brainstorming, sketching an idea, solution evaluation, and solution testing.
