Students in this course will read and discuss material from various sources including Steven Brush's article "Should the History of Science be X-Rated?"; Chalmer's What is this thing called Science?; as well as extracts from the Harvard Case Histories in Experimental Science, edited by James Bryant Conant and Science and its Ways of Knowing, by Hatton and Ploufee. |
