Description: An introduction of the system architecture, technologies, and applications of mobile computing. Topics covered include: mobile and wireless environment; mobile device technology; mobile computing architecture and protocols; mobile computing security; and applications in wireless and mobile computing, including distribution applications, mobile middleware, mobile information and database access, mobile multimedia, and remote execution. A combination of lectures, reading, presentation and reports, case studies, and group discussions is used.
