Description: | Integrated laboratory exercises in medical physiology, medical biochemistry, and medical microbiology for first-year human medical students. Emphasis is placed on developing and analyzing and interpreting the results of certain clinically applicable skills, understanding and being able to interpret and analyze the results of certain diagnostic methods, and on applying knowledge gained in the lecture portion of related courses. The instructional approach includes problem-based discussion, clinical correlations with practicing physicians, and learning such technical skills as venipuncture and performance of common medical laboratory tests. Professor Hermodson is the professor of record. |
