Description: This course is the first of two courses in the distance learning program that presents an introduction to general physiology of the mammalian body systems and the general physiological process with emphasis on domestic animals. This course will address the functions of the different systems and homeostasis; the functions of the cell; the different compartments and solute transport; blood and defense; general functions of the nervous system, reflexes and special senses; the function of the nerve and muscle; cardiovascular system; and digestive system.
