Description: Focuses on the challenges faced by managers as they implement competitive strategies across different countries and regions and will be particularly useful for students interested in international work. Major topics and frameworks include strategic alliances and networks, international acquisitions and diversification, global competitive dynamics, regional issues, as well as the impact of trends in these areas. These topics will help address challenges, such as collaboration across boundaries, role of country subsidiaries and country managers in global organizations, and cross-border coordination of capabilities and operations. Prerequisite: MGMT 65900.
