Description: | Associate Science Degree In Nursing Mobility Seminar is designed to meet the specific needs of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) pursuing educational requirements necessary for an Associate of Science in nursing degree and for Registered Nurse (RN) licensure examination. The NUR 117 Seminar course offers increased depth to the existent knowledge and experience of the LPN with emphasis on the Neuman Systems Model (NSM) and the nursing process. Therapeutic communication skills are reviewed. Information regarding intravenous therapy and blood product transfusion is included. Demonstration of computer skills and knowledge of pharmacology are also incorporated. Students may take NUR 224 or NUR 336 with NUR 117. |
