Short Title: Lab In Atmospheric Sci
Description: A laboratory course that introduces students to fundamentals of meteorological observations, analysis and interpretation of surface and upper air maps, and analysis of upper air observations using thermodynamic charts. Application of simple rules and indices to personal weather forecasting. Interpretation and application of weather forecasts from the National Weather Service and other sources. This course may not be taken for credit by students in the atmospheric science option of the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. Prior course work in introductory atmospheric science is required.
