Description: Explores the principles involved in the protection of people and property from fire and explosion. Basic fire safety terminology, fire chemistry and extinguishment, fire safety references and standards, and fire safety management are presented. Also discussed are control measures for common fire and explosion hazards and the design of buildings in terms of life safety and fire suppressive systems.
