Coverage will include principles, applications, laboratory experience, and interpretation of data in preparation for use of modern microscopic methods and equipment in research. Individual course offerings will be devoted to the following topics: (502A) transmission electron microscopy, 1-3 cr.; (502D) scanning electron microscopy, 1-3 cr.; (502E) X-ray microanalysis, 1 cr.
