Description: | The fundamentals of decision theory are presented in the context of application to communication systems. The bulk of the course concentrates on discrete-time optimal and robust design theory which is suitable for implementation on modern digital systems. The more classical theory of signal detection in continuous time Gaussian noise is presented at the end of this course. Offered in alternate years. |
