| Description: | A survey course in laboratory experiments and demonstrations using classical immunological techniques and modern immunoassays with up-to-date technological equipment. The laboratory supplements the lecture portion of BIOL 537 but is not required. Typical assays include immuno-double diffusion Ouchterlony methodology, immunofluorescence identification of cell surface antigens, cytokine and mitogen stimulated proliferation of immune cells, ELISA assays, and PAGE with Western blotting. |
