Description: | A survey of the most frequently employed multivariate research techniques, such as multivariate generalizations of univariate tests and analysis of variance, principal components, canonical analysis, and discriminant analysis. A central theme of the course is the general linear model, both univariate and multivariate. A multipurpose program for this model provides the student with practical experience in conducting multivariate research. Some prior exposure to elementary matrix algebra is recommended.
