Description: Principles of human development across the lifespan are examined within the context of a nursing framework. Within each developmental level, health and maturational crisis and associated behavioral responses are explored. Emphasis is placed on the importance of self-awareness in the nurse and the utilization of therapeutic communication techniques. The concept of caring in the provision of holistic nursing care is integrated throughout the course.
