Description: This course utilizes assessment as the first step in the nursing process as an organizing framework for identifying biopsychosocial data that affect a person's health status. Through a human systems approach the student nurse will develop the cognitive skills necessary to perform assessment. Emphasis is placed on developing an organized and holistic approach to health assessment and its relationship to the nursing process.
