Description: The nursing process is utilized to provide a holistic and caring response to the woman and her family throughout the childbearing years. Students are introduced to the more common complications of antepartal, intrapartal, postpartal neonatal periods. Emphasis is placed on assisting the woman and family to understand and adapt to the predictable physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and environmental stresses surrounding childbearing.
