Description: | Maximum likelihood and other estimators of parameters of multivariate normal distribution. Likelihood ratio and union-intersection testing methodology. Wishart distribution and related distributions. Hotelling's T2 and Mahalanobis D2 tests for mean vectors of one and two populations. Repeated measures designs. Principal components of covariance matrix, canonical variates, and related inferences. Correlations, partial and multiple correlations, and canonical correlations. Tests of independence. Multivariate linear models, multivariate analysis of variance and covariance, GMANOVA. Classification and discriminant analysis. Knowledge of matrix theory and knowledge of some STAT 553 material are desirable. |
