Description: | Anatomy of the nervous system is studied from topographic and functional viewpoints. In the lectures, emphasis is placed upon the study of the human nervous system at gross as well as microscopic levels. In the laboratory, gross anatomy of the brain is presented from a comparative viewpoint, and microscopic anatomy focuses on the study of brains of common laboratory animals. Projects involving introduction to surgical skills, fixation and preparation of nervous tissues, and microscopic evaluation of the experimental material also are provided to the students. |
