Short Title: | Principles Of NMR Spec |
Description: | The principles and practice of high resolution nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy are discussed. The fundamental parameters of the NMR experiment-chemical shift, coupling, relaxation, imaging, and their physical basis are presented. Multi-nuclear NMR applications, especially 13C, and 1H, are given to the determination of molecular structures, measurement of reaction rates, and other chemical problems. Principles of solid-state NMR are included. Offered in alternate years. Prerequisite: CHM 56000. |
