On Sept. 20, the Office of Research and Purdue Research Foundation’s Purdue Innovates jointly hosted an inaugural innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) event for new faculty members. Held at the Convergence Center on Purdue’s campus, the gathering was organized to help faculty explore opportunities to translate use-inspired research into societally impactful solutions.

Led by senior university fellow for I&E Christian Butzke, collegiate faculty I&E fellows, departmental I&E ambassadors, and the Purdue Innovates team, the Research to Impact Rendezvouswas a cross-campus networking event, an introduction of faculty and their graduate students to the major parts and players of Purdue’s comprehensive research commercialization support ecosystem, and an opportunity to listen to entrepreneurial life stories from 12 relatable peers.
