PERA Training now available for research teams

With PERA (Purdue Excellence in Research Administration) set to go live Oct. 7, the PERA team has announced a series of upcoming training sessions. Investigators, research administrators and students involved in research are encouraged to register.

The initial training sessions will focus on the first three PERA modules being introduced: Grants (pre-award, post-award), Agreements, and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). In addition, an open session for faculty and staff to ask questions about PERA will be held in September. Dates, times and registration information are available here.

Training for other modules — Export Control, Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), Conflict of Interest, Conflict of Commitment, Financial Forecasting and Institutional Review Board (IRB) — will follow in the coming months (note that IRB will be launched in 2025 and researchers should using Cayuse until then).

More information about PERA, including how teams will benefit and how to prepare for the rollout, is available on the PERA website or by contacting pre-award and other specialists in Sponsored Program Services and Regulatory Affairs.
