An Interview with Dr. Rita Colwell
The Women’s Global Health Institute (WGHI) is excited to host an interview with Dr. Rita Colwell, the former Director of National Science Foundation and WGHI External Advisory Council member, about her recent book “A Lab of One’s Own: One Woman’s Personal Journey Through Sexism in Science”. The interviewer will be Dr. Rosie Clawson, professor of Political Science and WGHI Internal Steering Committee member at Purdue. This book describes Rita’s experience from her early days during her at Purdue pursuing an MS through to her becoming the first female NSF director. It has received exalted reviews and publicity, including an article by Wall Street Journal.
