Project Examining the school choice market in Indianapolis Program Education Term Academic Year 2024 Status Closed Research Area Educational Policy Description This is a continuation of a 2023/24 academic year project in which data was collected to analyze the expansion of the school choice market in Indianapolis. The project will continue with analysis of demographic and recruitment data for choice schools in Indianapolis as well as a historical analysis of the expansion of school choice over the past two decades. Supervisor Bryan J. Duarte Mentor Type of work required Students will be expected to compile publicly available data on the Indianapolis school choice market available on the web. Students will also engage in analysis of the data to examine the historical expansion of choice in Indianapolis and summarize the findings about demographic representation across choice schools in order to develop a better understanding of equity and access to choice by marginalized students.
