Personal Identity in 17th and18th Century Philosophy Margo Katherine Wilke Undergraduate Research Internship Program Fall 2024 Accepted Philosophy This project involves doing research on the concept of personal identity in Locke, Hume, and Kant, in particular on Locke's concept of inner sense. Jacqueline Marina The student will collect research materials relevant to the topic and help assess their usefulness in understanding how Kant understood the problem of personal identity, in particular looking at how questions, as they were framed by Locke and Hume, might have influenced Kant. Resources for the project will be mostly books and articles in top philosophy journals. Must be a philosophy major with an interest in Kant. 3 0 (estimated)
