A systematic review of humanities pedagogy and application in STEM Margo Katherine Wilke Undergraduate Research Internship Program Fall 2024 Accepted Open This project aims to conduct a large-scale review of pedagogical approaches applied in humanities disciplines. We will systematically do a search of existing research on this topic, code the existing research, and analyze that data to respond to our research questions. The main research question is: What pedagogical approaches and philosophies are adopted in humanities disciplines in higher education? The research assistants will form part of an interdisciplinary research group with Professors Lori Czerwionka (Spanish, Linguistics), Kirsten Davis (Engineering Education), Jerilyn Tinio (Libraries), and graduate students as well. Lori A Czerwionka Research assistants will review and code academic articles, organize data, and support data analysis to understand the types of pedagogical approaches found in the prior literature.

Hours may be 3-9/week; Departmental credit could be possible. Contact researcher to discuss.
