Purdue students study Boilermaker astronaut Eugene Cernan’s remarkable career

Eugene Cernan (BSEE ’56) is best known for having taken humankind’s most recent steps on the lunar surface during NASA’s Apollo 17 mission – a voyage that celebrated its 50-year anniversary in December. However, Cernan accomplished far more in space than those memorable steps on the moon. Purdue helps boost semiconductor industry investments in state

Purdue University is uniquely positioned to offer research and development, workforce development and business growth for partners interested in semiconductors and microelectronics. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation, tweeting an NBC News article that highlighted SkyWater Technology choosing Purdue, said six companies in the semiconductor industry made their first investments in the state in 2022.
