Purdue University named No. 16 among World’s Most Innovative Companies, No. 1 in education

Purdue University, for the first time, has been named one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies – coming in at No. 16 overall and No. 1 in education – for its advances in the vital field of semiconductors and microelectronics. The only university among Fast Company magazine’s prestigious Top 50 Most Innovative Companies, Purdue joins OpenAI (No. 1) and NASA (No. 17) as organizations “paving the way for the innovations of tomorrow.”

Photo gallery: Congratulations to the Purdue Global Class of 2023

On Feb. 25, 990 Purdue Global graduates participated in in-person and virtual commencement ceremonies at City National Grove of Anaheim. The graduates reside in 46 states – including 176 California residents and 56 from Indiana – as well as Bermuda, Canada, Indonesia, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saipan, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Some 178 graduates are affiliated with the military. Seven systemwide Purdue University employees are among those earning a Purdue Global degree or certificate via the Purdue Global education benefit. Share the news: Facebook, Twitter

Purdue research: Uncovering fall factors for older Americans

One fall by an older adult can have a ripple effect that debilitates the patient and their family. To prevent and understand that first fall, College of Health and Human Sciences researchers examined publicly available health records of almost 2,000 Americans ages 60-85. They uncovered new details that add to the demographics of those older adults most likely to fall.
