From creating microchip “clocks” to authoring a book series on semiconductors, Purdue continues to forge the future of microelectronics in 2023. Purdue’s persistent pursuit of microchip advancement through innovation, partnerships and programs continues to move the field forward.
The College of Education’s Learning Design and Technology master’s program ranks No. 8 nationally in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Online Programs. And its 2023 ranking, released in January, means it has remained in the top 10% of all online education graduate programs for five years among 1,800 U.S. colleges and universities. Since Purdue’s College of Education launched its online LDT graduate program in 2011, it has graduated over 900 students as instructional designers.
The 15th annual Purdue Challenge 5K run/walk benefiting the Purdue University Institute for Cancer Research will begin at 8:30 a.m. April 15 on Stadium Mall. The Challenge, which has generated more than $1 million since 2008, reminds the community that Purdue cancer research provides hope to survivors. Proceeds from the race have allowed the Purdue Institute for Cancer Research to make strides in the innovation and improvement of cancer detection, treatment and prevention.
A new episode of “This Is Purdue” features twin sisters and Purdue alumnae Almira “Sugar” Yllana and Giovanna “Spice” Krozel. Nicknamed by their maternal grandfather at birth, these two Purdue chemical engineering alums have taken the Boilermaker community by storm. From the Purdue for Life Foundation to the John Purdue Club to the Purdue Women’s Network Chicago chapter, Sugar and Spice have a legacy of university involvement.
