Purdue Global, Purdue’s online university for working adults, hosted commencement ceremonies on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus on Saturday (May 6) for more than 1,400 graduates. The graduates reside in 49 states – including 290 Indiana residents – as well as the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, China, Guatemala, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
If you’ve wanted an electric vehicle but worry how far you could drive between charges, Purdue University engineers and the Indiana Department of Transportation are working on a solution: highways that could wirelessly charge EVs on the go. An electrified highway in Indiana would serve much of the nation’s traffic. Eighty percent of the U.S. can be reached within a day’s drive from the state’s pass-through highways.

One of 11 new faculty hires in public health at Purdue, Faria Chaudhry remembers the exact moment that influenced her decision to pursue a career in pharmacy. Today she is a clinical assistant professor in the College of Pharmacy. With her work in a community clinic, she is dedicated to closing care gaps in underserved communities in Indianapolis.
