Purdue University President Mung Chiang joined business and community leaders and elected officials in northwest Indiana on Wednesday (Oct. 11) at the annual One Region luncheon to explore economic growth sectors for the region in the decade ahead.
Two graduate students in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics have separately received funding from NASA to develop new methods for monitoring the Earth and its climate. Siddharth Subramanyam and Archana Choudhari will both be assessing if Signals of Opportunity methods can be used to take measurements on Earth’s surface. Their principal investigator, professor Jim Garrison, is a pioneer in the field.
Andrew Mesecar, Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry and the Walther Professor in Cancer Structural Biology, has been named assistant vice president for research and director of the Purdue Institute for Cancer Research after serving since August 2022 as interim director.
