October 27, 2001 Purdue Homecoming king and queen crowned
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. David Peter Pflum of Lafayette, Ind., and Jill Elaine Butler of Indianapolis, were crowned homecoming king and queen during halftime of the Purdue-Northwestern game today (Saturday, 10/27).
Both winners are seniors studying health sciences. They were selected after a formal interview by a panel of judges composed of faculty, staff, students, alumni and community leaders. Pflum was presented a Rose Bowl football signed by Purdue football coach Joe Tiller. Butler received an engraved silver bowl. All members of the court are seniors. The homecoming court, elected by students, included: Sarah Ann Folke, a speech language pathology major from Lawrenceburg, Ind. Susan Ellen Brown, a health sciences major from Lafayette, Ind. Tabatha Dawn Hall, a health sciences major from Auburn, Ind. Rollie Rockett, a biology major from Elkhart, Ind. Benjamin Liebert, a psychology and economics major from Borden, Ind. Damon Lawrence McFarland, an organizational communication major from Shelbyville, Ind. Patrick McKinley Murray, a mass communication major from Lexington, Ind. Whitney Stewart Weeks, a sales management major from Chesterfield, Ind.
