October 16, 2004 Purdue Homecoming king and queen crownedWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Gina Bassetto of Munster, Ind., and Tim Jones of Evansville, Ind., were crowned Purdue University's 2004 Homecoming king and queen during halftime of the Purdue-Wisconsin game on Saturday (10/16). Bassetto is a senior majoring in audiology and speech sciences and psychology. Jones is a senior majoring in industrial engineering with a minor in electrical engineering. Bassetto and Jones were selected after a formal interview by a panel of judges composed of faculty, staff, students, alumni and community leaders (45 percent); online student votes (40 percent); appearances at events on campus and in the community (10 percent); and applications and essays (5 percent). The Homecoming court, elected by students, also was introduced at the game. They are: Heather Fausnaugh, a senior majoring in management, from Fort Wayne, Ind. Katie Kickertz, a junior majoring in health sciences and pre-dentistry, from Rockford, Ill. Erin Kightlinger, a senior majoring in audiology and speech sciences with a minor in Spanish, from Indianapolis, Ind. Maggie Kleinhenn, a senior majoring in elementary education, from Noblesville, Ind. Stephanie Rhoads, a senior majoring in public relations with minors in political science and organizational leadership and supervision, from Greencastle, Ind. Stephanie Sikora, a senior majoring in psychology, from Schereville, Ind. Drew Brinkoetter, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering, from Decatur, Ill. Ryan Dupuis, a senior majoring in management, from Kankakee, Ill. Kurt Henke, a senior majoring in pharmacy with a minor in organizational leadership and supervision, from Washington Crossing, Pa. John Owen, a senior majoring in social studies education, from Gurnee, Ill. Aaron Roberson, a senior majoring in elementary education, from Greenwood, Ind.
