Holladay Properties Inc. vice president remarks on Purdue's Indianapolis-based technology park
This is the second venture between Holladay Properties and the Purdue Research Foundation, building on a successful venture and relationship at AmeriPlex At the Crossroads in Merrillville.
We have found the Purdue Research Foundation, under the leadership of President Jischke, to be a rare combination of the stability of a well run research institution with the entrepreneurial energy of a dynamic business.
AmeriPlex in Indiana is the “flagship�? of the AmeriPlex “brand,�? an approach to mixed-use park development that relies on solid, long-range planning, respect for the environment of the site and dedication to high standards of design for buildings and landscape alike.
We are proud to lead the development of this phase of the AmeriPlex project, consisting of more than 300 acres. The Purdue/Holladay joint venture will occupy the prime 80 acres of this phase, with visibility across from the new airport terminal and its entry.
The Accelerator Park makes practical good use of this site, but also sends a strong statement to the visitor to Indianapolis that this is a community committed to the new economy, in all facets -- new technologies and businesses, respect for the power of both the individual talent and the power of collaboration, and dedication to development in accord with the natural environment of the setting.
One of the great strengths of the AmeriPlex setting is that AmeriPlex here in Indianapolis offers a great setting, not only for the 80-acre Accelerator Park, but integration into a larger park with several-hundred acres more to host the growth of businesses graduating from the Accelerator.
The rich inventory of additional sites is not simply available ground. It is an asset surrounded by assets -- the great transportation and logistics assets that are important to move talent and inventory around the nation and the world.
AmeriPlex, finally, is but 10 minutes from downtown Indianapolis, with its burgeoning web of business, entertainment and cultural assets.
This is an opportunity to be seized with energy and focus. We appreciate the vision of President Martin Jischke in seizing this opportunity. We are honored by the continuing confidence of the leadership of the Purdue Research Foundation.
