Affirmative Action Office moves, changes name effective Feb. 1

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's Affirmative Action Office is changing its name to the Office of Institutional Equity and moving to the 10th floor of Young Hall, said Diana Prieto, director of the office.

Visitors can contact the Office of Institutional Equality in its new location on Friday (Jan. 30), Prieto said. The name change will become effective Feb. 1, Prieto said. The phone number, (765) 494-7253, will remain the same, she said.

The old office is located in the American Railway Building.

Office of Institutional Equity supports Purdue's mission to promote human and intellectual diversity by providing equal access and opportunity through fostering an inclusive environment for all members of the university community. The office develops and directs the affirmative action program for the West Lafayette campus and serves as a resource and coordinator of the university's systemwide affirmative action activities, including the Calumet, Fort Wayne, and North Central campuses.
