Janney, an assistant professor of history who studies Civil War memorials and remembrance, can talk about how Lincoln is remembered. She also can discuss how Obama's connections to Lincoln today, will affect how the 16th president continues to be memorialized. Janney is writing about the memory of Lincoln in an upcoming Civil War series that will be published by the University of North Carolina Press to mark the 150th anniversary of the war.
