Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

FMEA is a process for analysis of potential failure modes within a design, process, or product, classified by severity or determination of the effect of failures on the system. Widely used in manufacturing industries, itís now finding its way into the service industry. It is one of the purest forms of preventive action, and a must-have tool for proper risk management. We'll talk about what FMEA is, and then we'll work on an exercise to actually perform an FMEA.
