Inclusive Advising Grant

To help promote advisor professional development that is directly related to inclusive practice in advising at Purdue, University Undergraduate Academic Advising is now providing Inclusive Advising grants for academic advisors who have a financial need associated with a professional development opportunity that contributes directly to inclusive practice in academic advising.

Qualifying requests include presentations at off-campus conferences, webinars, professional development seminars, or any other relevant professional development. Any questions about qualifying requests may be directed to UUAA: advising@purdue.edu.

Award amounts will vary depending on the type of development, applicant’s role, total cost, and financial support available through the applicant’s advising unit and home college or department.

Applications should include the following:
  • Letter of intent detailing the professional development opportunity including total cost and dates
  • Letter of support from a direct supervisor (letter must indicate approval from the college or department as well)
  • Information about the professional development experience (a link to a website is acceptable)
Grant requests will be considered on an as-needed basis.
