The Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center

The Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center is located at 915 5th Street on the corner of 5th and Waldron on the Purdue University campus. The AAARCC facility provides a number of resources for the campus community to interact with one another in a variety of social, academic, and/or professional settings

5th Street Door

Cultural Roots Garden

Started in 2021, this is an experiential learning opportunity to explore culturally-relevant edible landscaping. Through partnerships with Purdue Student Farm and Asian and Asian American Gardening Club, the garden provides students with opportunities to create food pathways and encourages positive conversations about nutrition, food insecurity, sustainability, and cultural community building.

Welcome Desk

Lounge

A casual space to rest between classes, watch TV, or spark conversations. The lounge can be easily converted into meeting or workshop space and features our library with books and games.

Dining Area/Pantry

Kitchen Room

Stocked with kitchenware, oven, stove, and refrigerator, our kitchen and dining area are great for hosting cooking demonstrations, preparing for food sales, or gathering informally.

Nook & Stairs

2nd Floor

Conference Room

A private meeting space for up to 8-10 people, featuring a TV for presentations or virtual meetings, and a Nintendo Switch.

IT Computer Lab

An IT-supported computer lab where students can gather to work on assignments, study, and print documents.

Space Reservations

The entire AAARCC building is on the PAL 3.0 and Eduroam wireless network. The Lounge, Kitchen, and Conference Room are available for event reservations by Purdue-affiliated individuals and organizations, free of charge. For larger-scale events, we can also grant reservations to multiple spaces.
