Foreign Currency Payments

As an alternative to paying your application fee via credit card, the Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars (OGSPS) has partnered with Convera, a specialist in global business payments. This payment option allows you to pay the application fee in the currency of your choice and provides a simple and secure method for initiating payments electronically.

The quote/information you obtain when completing this process is specific to a single application fee payment only and if future application fee payments are required a new quote must be obtained.

Step-by-step guide to making a payment:

Step 1:  Login to your Applicant Status portal at https://gradapply.purdue.edu/apply/

  • Click the link "Pay your fees with Convera".

Step 2:  Get a Quote

  • Select country paying fees from
  • Select citizenship status
  • Click "Get Quote".

Step 3: Choose a Way to Pay

  • Select the desired currency.

Step 4:  Enter Student Details

  • Complete the required fields marked with an (*).
  • Your Reference Number is the number located at the top of your applicant status page.
  • After all fields are completed click NEXT.

Step 5:  Enter Payer Details

  • Complete the Payer's personal details.
  • Complete the Payer's billing address.
  • Choose the Payer's bank details.
  • Agree to Terms of Use and Review Online Privacy Statement.
  • Click Proceed to Payment

Step 6: Make Payment

  • Print payment instructions and contact your bank or financial institution (online, phone or in-person).
  • To ensure that the Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars receives your funds, the Reference Number must be included in your payment.
  • Funds received after the (72) hour cut off may be subject to a new rate. Custom House Financial (UK) Limited conducts business under the trading name Convera. This bank account is used to receive payments on behalf of your institution.

Step 7:  Payment Finalized

  • Purdue University Accounts Receivable will post the U.S. dollar equivalent to your Business Partner account, generally within two to five days after the local bank initiates payment.  When this has occurred, your application fee will be updated.
