2013 Award Winners
Most Outstanding Interdisciplinary Project Award
Caitlin Grady, Ecological Sciences & Engineering (ESE), was awarded the Most Outstanding Interdisciplinary Project Award in Spring 2013 for her poster project entitled: “Performance of Biologically-Active Sand Filters for Drinking Water Treatment: Exploration of Biophysical Factors and Consumer Social Behavior Trends in Eldoret, Kenya.”
Lisa Young, American Studies, was awarded an Honorable Mention in Spring 2013 for her multimedia presentation and poster project entitled: “After the Debris Clears: Tracing Purdue’s Early Black Student Experiences with Housing Segregation in West Lafayette.”
Shuai Yu, Life Sciences (PULSe), was awarded an Honorable Mention in Spring 2013 for his poster project entitled: “Syk Regulates Apoptosis of Breast Cancer Cells by Phosphorylating PKAc on Tyroine 330.”

Starting in 2013, the IGP with the largest percentage of its students participating in the OIGP Spring Reception will receive the Exemplary Program Participation Award as an appreciative recognition of their efforts and support!
