NSF GRFP Workshop Series: Part 1 – Overview
August 26 | 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Register Now
The Fellowships Office in the Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars (OGSPS) is offering a three-part workshop series—plus optional interactive help sessions—to support students applying to the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP). You are welcome to attend any part of the series independently, though we recommend participating in all three workshops and one or more help sessions. This workshop is Part 1 of the series and provides an overview of the NSF GRFP, including: fellowship benefits and eligibility, a walkthrough of the program solicitation, review criteria, and general tips for crafting a strong application. Parts 2 and 3 will focus on the personal statement and research statement, respectively. Please note: the NSF GRFP is open only to US citizens, nationals, and permanent residents.

The Innovated competition: Communicating your research to non-specialist audiences
September 09 | 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Register Now
Come eat pizza with us and learn how to write a winning InnovatED submission. The workshop will begin by providing a program overview and a testimonial from a past winner. Then, OWL consultants will walk you through how to effectively communicate your research to a non-specialist audience. As you begin writing, consultants will be available to answer questions, and you’ll leave with a head start on a draft.
