Doctoral and Master's Degree Program Requirements


  • Cumulative Grade Point Average from most recently conferred undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree:
    • 3.0 or equivalent (A=4.0)

Application Deadlines


  • December 1st to be considered for fellowship and assistantship support for summer or fall admission
  • Applications are otherwise accepted year-round for spring, summer, or fall admission but must be accompanied by support from a member of the graduate faculty.

  • Bachelor's level students are normally considered for either the M.S. or Ph.D. program. Bachelor's levels students applying for admission to the Ph.D. program should have prior research experience and a strong academic record. Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their research interests with a member of the graduate faculty prior to applying.
