Work set to begin on new Nursing and Pharmacy Education Building this summer

Updated May 10, 2024 to reflect a new closure date for the parking lot with the lot now closing on July 22, not July 15.

Construction on the new Nursing and Pharmacy Education Building at the intersection of the Mitch Daniels Boulevard and South Russell Street is scheduled to begin this July.

As a result of this project, there will be travel restrictions along South Russell Street. The same traffic patterns that are currently in place for the Life Science Ranges Phenotyping Greenhouse Building will remain in place from July through February 2025. South Russell Street will then reopen to one-way southbound traffic in February. The sidewalk and street parking along the west side of South Russell Street will be closed from July 2024 through November 2026.

The parking lot located at the southwest corner of Mitch Daniels Boulevard and Russell Street will permanently close July 22.

Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists should use caution in the area, obey all posted signs and seek alternate routes.
