Course Requirements:
- Acceptable calculus with grade "C" or better & acceptable science course with grade "C" or better. Please refer to the “What If” function on MyPurduePlan to determine if a course meets degree requirements.
Other Requirements:
- Students on academic probation will not be considered.
- 2.0 GPA in any completed BIOL, CHM, CS, EAPS, MA, PHYS or STAT course that meets degree requirements.

- Grade of B or higher in a Calculus course approved to meet degree requirements
Other Requirements:
- Students will be admitted on a SPACE AVAILABLE BASIS. The department guarantees acceptance for students who earn an A- or higher in CS 18000, B or higher in a required calculus course and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Students on academic probation will not be considered.
- All courses considered for CODO must be taken for a letter grade on a Purdue campus.
- For CODO purposes, only the first or second attempt of a required course will be considered.

Course Requirements:
- CS 18000 with a grade of B or higher
- Grade of B or higher in a Calculus course approved to meet degree requirements
Other Requirements:
- Students will be admitted on a SPACE AVAILABLE BASIS. The department guarantees acceptance for students who earn an A- or higher in CS 18000, B or higher in a required calculus course and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Students on academic probation will not be considered.
- All courses considered for CODO must be taken for a letter grade on a Purdue campus.
- For CODO purposes, only the first or second attempt of a required course will be considered.
Special Notes:
- Data Science is an academic program in both the departments of Computer Science or Statistics. Students will receive advising support to determine which department will best fit their career goals once admitted to the program.
- Space availability in the program will be very limited during the 2018-19 academic year.

- If a student has established credit [AP, IB, etc.] for Calculus 1, 2, and 3 (or beyond), then they must have a C or better in the next math course in the Actuarial Science major AND a C or higher in MA 37300.
- 2.5 GPA average in MA/STAT/MGMT/ECON courses that meet the “Major in Actuarial Science” block degree requirements.

- Have completed the three course calculus sequence (via some combination of graded courses, transfer credit, and credit by exam) AND have a B- or better in at least one required 300+ level major course AND a 2.0 average GPA in all required major courses beyond the three course calculus sequence.
