PICR Mid-Career Research Achievement Award
The Purdue Institute of Cancer Research (PICR) seeks to recognize strong scientific/scholarly contributions as a result of work completed in their role as a PICR member. For this award, the PICR seeks candidates who have demonstrated a sustained and significant impact on their field and national or international recognition for their work.
Eligibility: Tenure-track faculty, who are associate professors who are in rank for at least 2 years at the time of nomination and have been on faculty at Purdue for at least two years prior to nomination. A faculty member can only be recognized for this award once. Any PICR member can submit a nomination for this award.
Nomination: The nomination must include in the following order:
- Cover page (template on the second page)
- Letter of nomination
- Nominees CV
- A second letter of support from either another PICR member or one external cancer researcher.
- If an external letter of support, a one-paragraph description or a website link with the credentials of the external reviewer
Deadline: The nomination packet can be submitted here as a single PDF file by March 26, 2024.
Evaluation: The PICR Executive Committee will review the applications.
Recognition: The awardee will be announced at the Spring Awards Ceremony and will receive a monetary award of $1,000 and a plaque.
