Business SectorNational Association of Veteran-Serving Organizations (NAVSO):
National Association of
Veteran-Serving Organizations (NAVSO) aims to improve the lives of
veterans and military families through supporting the
organizations that provide services to the veterans and military
families. With the mutual vision of serving the vulnerable
populations, CGUS engages in NAVSO’s effort in promoting success
among the veteran business owners. A joint project that is funded
by the Kauffman Foundation is designed to determine success
factors for entrepreneurship and shed lights on how best offer
training for the veterans who are interested in starting their own
businesses.
As part of a movement for enhancing community health and wellness through performance management and quality improvement of public health services, Dr. Liu has translated her performance improvement model in business to the public health context and worked closely with multiple local health departments in revisiting their current planning and strategies that aim to promote health and wellness of the local community residents.
Tippecanoe County Health Department (TCHD):
The Tippecanoe County Health
Department aims to promote the quality of life for the residents
of Tippecanoe County though education, promotion, and protection
of public and environmental health. TCHD is also in the process of
being accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board and CGUS
is engaged in their performance management effort. In addition,
due to its vicinity with Purdue University, CGUS has also sought
opportunities to support TCHD in food pantry, housing for the
poor, and their initiatives with the United Way.
Montgomery County Health
Department (MCHD):
Montgomery County Health Department
aims to champion the initiatives for improving individual and
community health in the Montgomery County as a part of their
organizational transformation effort through the public health
accreditation process. Dr. Liu of CGUS started to support MCHD at
their preparation phase in 2016 for the planning and
implementation of their Health Fair, Community Health Assessment,
Community Health Improvement Plan, and strategic plan. CGUS
continues to collaborate with MCHD to develop contents for a
cloud-based application that is tailored to the performance
management of public health services provided by all the
departments of health.
Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital
(CGMH):
