Rendi TharpNavigating Open Enrollment 2024: Your Benefits, Your Choices

It's that time of the year again – open enrollment for benefits! I understand that making these decisions can sometimes feel like a daunting task, a bit like playing the lottery. You're faced with choices about what you might need, what it costs and what you can afford. But fear not, HR Benefits has a website to assist in making this process as smooth and informed as possible.

Important dates: Open enrollment runs October 24 – November 7 at 6 p.m. ET

Your go-to resource: For all things related to Open Enrollment 2024, visit the dedicated Open Enrollment 2024 website. Here, you'll find a wealth of information and resources to guide you through the process.

Personalized assistance: If you have specific questions or need one-on-one guidance, you can schedule a personal session with the benefits staff. They'll be available to provide insights, answer your queries, and ensure you have the information you need to make informed choices.  Schedule one-on-one sessions.

Spanish language support: For our Spanish-speaking colleagues, there will be Spanish labs scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 24, and Wednesday, Oct. 25, to provide assistance and information tailored to your needs.

Required forms: Regardless of whether you're changing your benefit selections for 2024, please remember to complete the following forms:

  • Tobacco Certification
  • Working Spouse
  • HSA/FSA Contributions

Educational resources: HR Benefits has prepared a variety of videos, forms and guides to assist you in making well-informed decisions. These resources will help you understand your options and select the benefits that align with your needs and preferences.

Healthy Boiler Fair: Don't miss the Healthy Boiler Fair from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on October 4 in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms. It's a great opportunity to explore health and wellness offerings, ask questions and learn more about the resources available to you.

Get in touch: If you have any questions or concerns throughout the open enrollment period, the Human Resources Benefits team is available to help. Reach out via email at hr@purdue.edu or call 765-494-2222 or toll-free at 877-725-0222.

I understand that open enrollment can be a complex process, but I hope that this information will make the process smoother and easier.

Boiler Up! Hammer Down! Hail Purdue!

Sincerely,

Rendi
